Finally, an update

We've been enjoying watching the olympics so far. Star barks at the TV when watching speed skating, hockey, snowboarding...all the fast moving events. I put a video of her watching on my facebook page. She is too funny! We did go to an ice sculpting event on Main St. St. Charles, very cold day but beautiful statues. Unfortunately my battery died on the camera so I didn't get a lot of pictures and only one finished product. I love the sculptures work....its fascinating

Finished angel. We watched them attach the wings....very cool!! Water and freezing spray works well.

The boys have both been busy with school. Jeff passed his ACLS test today so he is certified. It stands for advanced cardio life support, which means he can do more than just cpr to save someone, he can explain it, I can't....anyway, that was the excitement of our day. Shayne only has 2 grading periods left for 7th grade (they have 6). He is ready for Spring Break and then summer vacay. Me too! At least I'm ready for Spring....bring on the warmth!!

Here's a new picture of my prayer group. We call ourselves the Boys. These are some of my favorite ladies in the whole world. They pray for me, love me and listen and give great advise and encouragement. We met tonight and I love laughing, and praying with them. You Boys rock!!

Boring Blog

After 22 years of using the same dinnerware we decided to get something new. They are tannish with black inside. They are a lot like pottery. The bowls and cups are even squarish. Its been fun and it's nice to have more than just 3 spoons. So it's all fairly plain looking but it's perfect for us. Just didn't fit as well as our old stuff so we had to rearrange cabinets too. That makes for fun when your trying to find things and they aren't where they used to be...

Anyway, I told you this would be boring but ya read it anyway :)!!

snow day

Shayne enjoyed 2 extra days off school and playing in the snow. Star also loves the snow.

Shayne planning a sneak attack. Snowballs werent that great. It was a very powdery snow. The cold has been EXTREME!!! Can hardly stand to go out. Next week its forecast to be in the 30s which will almost be a heatwave compared to single digits. Bring it on!!

Sisters

We had the best time over the Thanksgiving holiday just "hanging out" Did some shopping, some eating and LOTS of laughing. It was fun....I love you sisters!!

I am thankful for....

It's that time of year again to reflect on our blessings. I have a few things I've been thinking about lately that I am thankful for.

My hubby, I am so proud of him, going back to school and pursuing his dreams...and making good grades too.

Shayne, he is awesome. Love him so much just makes me laugh and smile.

My family, LOVE ALL OF YOU!!

I feel blessed this year that Jeff and I both have jobs, even if mine is very part time and he's taken a temperary pay cut....we have a roof over our heads and food on the table...we don't hurt for ANYTHING!!

My bible study that I started attending a few months ago....I'm really glad I'm going

My prayer group girls...you are my rock!!
