Summer Time Blues
School starts 3 weeks from today. I'm not ready for summer to be over with. I'm not ready for my son to start Middle School. I just feel sad about it all. Sigh.

He's doing GREAT!!
He's so handsome in his class A uniform. He carved the neck slide by himself for the hankerchief.
We went to scout camp to visit Shayne. He's been there since Sunday. We have really struggled with missing him. Our house is very quiet without him here. I am so proud of him....he's doing really well. He is homesick, but he's working through it. Only has to make it through tonight and he'll be done. Tonight they have pizza, soda and a belching contest. They even have a traveling trophy for the contest. Kinda glad I'm not down there tonight.

Little Big Town
We took another trip in the camper. Went to Cuivre River State Park in Troy. Spent Saturday at the Lincoln County Fair. Shayne rode rides. We watched a greased pig chase...very cute. Watch watermelon eating contests, demolition derby and saw Little Big Town in concert. They were great by the way and are one of our favorite groups. Shayne was excited b/c it was his 1st real concert. I think he was embarrassed at the end when his Mom and Dad were standing up, dancing, clapping and singing to The Boondocks song. That's what we're suppose to do right, embarrass our children. Jeff's sister Carrie and her family went with us. It was a lot of fun.

Incredible Pizza
Shayne and I had lunch today with Dana and Tyler Pudiwitr. We went to America's Incredible Pizza Place. WOW!! It was very fun. They have a buffet and the price wasn't too bad. Lots of choices besides just pizza. Salad bar, potato bar, pasta bar, dessert bar...YUM. We played mini golf and then the boys went off and did their thing and Dana and I had some girl time. The boys both came home with disappearing ink. How fun!! I didn't take the camera for everyone to see pictures but it's an awesome place and I recommend it. It is huge. Lots of dining space and even though there were lots of people there it didn't seem crowded at all. Shayne and I are anxious to go back and take Jeff with us next time.

A Visit with Great Friends
We have been blessed this week to spend time with our special friends who moved to Jonesboro about 15 years ago. Donna and I spent lots of time together when they lived in STL. Meghan was just barely 3 when they moved away. Now she's all grown up and checking out colleges. Wow!! Shayne and Zach the same age and got along so great. Shayne was disappointed that they had to go back home. We love you guys!! Miss you and were so happy to be able to spend time together. We didn't any pictures of our hubbies,Jeff and Rick, but they also enjoyed catching up.
